As I pulled into the gated entrance, I knew this session was going to be fun. The lighting was amazing and the location was something new and different for me. And then I met Chalet…um, gorgeous! Plus, she’s a really cool chick and she was up for anything. So we did our thing. I still think about this session and how I love the images months later. Chalet is stunning! Say hello to Marc, a 2011 Millennium graduate. This guy was quite the character in studio. We had a good time getting all his band instruments and uniforms set up. This is a storyboard that Mom ordered, to match the one we did of his sister we did a few years ago.

Talia came in for her high school senior portraits this Spring. We split her session into two different days so that she could do the more traditional studio portraits and then have some fun outdoors as well. This is a great way to to go about the senior portrait experience. She’s such a great kid and has the most amazing eyes!

As we were getting close to finishing up the session I noticed we were racing against good sunlight…and we still had a few poses left to squeeze in. Talia plays volleyball and she really wanted some shots of her setting the ball in the sunset. While she was changing into her gear I realized the sky was about to explode into this amazing sunset. We got lucky!

We decided to split up her senior portrait sessions so we get a little in studio and then some outside when the weather cooperates. I’ve photographed his older brother and sister, so this time around it was Brian’s turn. We held the session at his home and found all the nooks and crannies of great light around their property. We even rolled out the boat and got a few fun shots before the sun set on us. He’s a great kid and I have to say I love the hair!

I had the pleasure of photographing miss Brianna for a second time. This session was for senior portraits (and we snuck a few of mom and dad in, too!). And boy, did we have a good time! I think I’m just going to let the photos do the talking here. She’s gorgeous, smart and a great kid!

We started with some in studio with a few different outfits…

and then headed outside to a local resort. we had to literally race to get there to make the sweet light – it was close! we walked all over the place until the sun went crashing down on us. it was worth all the walking and hunting for light.

We finished off the session a few days later at the pool, since Brianna grew up in the water. This was so fun! When her mom and I talked initially she mentioned doing something with the swimming aspect…and I spent a few days dreaming of some fun ideas. She was the perfect model for this! And I apologize for all those laps I made you swim and head flips I made you do, Brianna. :) But see…totally worth it, right?!
