Don’t you just love his hair? There was no taming this mane! And those rolls on his arms…yummy! Mr. Z is new to the Baby’s First Year plan. His big brother graduated a while ago…so I get to see this little guy grow as well as big brother J for the next year. They are such handsome little guys!

Did I mention I’ve had some fabulous families in the studio lately? Spring has definitely been family portrait season for the studio. Meet the B Family. Dad is in so much trouble when these girls start dating! The B girls have been coming to the studio for a few years now. It was nice to get Dad in for a few this time around.

Okay, it’s time to catch up on the blog here and get some of my recent sessions posted. It’s been a busy May here in the studio and I have so many sessions to show you.

Speaking of busy…let me introduce you to the fabulous H Family. The last time I saw them was when their (then) youngest was just a newborn. Now the twins have joined the crew. And what a good looking crew they are!

We actually photographed the littles a day earlier so that mom could focus on them and get lots of individuals as well as group shots of them.

And here are the two lovebirds responsible for this awesome crew…

I had the pleasure of meeting this great group of kids back in January (yes, I’m a little behind on getting sneak peeks up on the blog!). They were so easy going and good with each other. It was pretty cool to see how sweet they were to each other. Meet Emma, Anthony & Adam.

I love this little series with the kissing.

We shot these the day before the Cardinals went to the Super Bowl. See their happy faces?

And we can’t forget their furry companion, Joey. He was such a good boy waiting for his turn at the very end for his very own session. I could have kept this little guy if his family wasn’t so darn in love with him.

Little Z is a member of my Baby’s First Year plan, just like his big brother was about a year ago. One thing about these two boys is for certain…they are HAPPY babies! It doesn’t take much to get these big ol’ grins. I love his little teeth showing here. Have I mentioned that I love photographing 6 month olds? It’s the perfect age to capture these cute little personalities – so proud of their new ability to sit up and see the world in a whole new way.

baby will came in at the end of the year for one year portraits. he turned one a few days before christmas so we had to get him in a little early before my vacation. don’t you love his little curious george? and his mom made a curious george birthday cake, too! i just love his little dimples and those baby teeth peeking out. and the family shot…my favorite!

showcasing your photographs

I got an email this morning from Pottery Barn about framing your artwork. I’m a visual kind of person, so I figured this might be useful for you, too.

This is a fun idea for combining photos from several sessions or events. You could mix and match portraits and snapshots. I also like the idea of mixing up the frame colors. You could also mix up color with black and white photos for a little more variety.

Another fun wall collage, nice and classic looking. Oh and Santa…this is that side table thingy i talked to you about!

A fun idea for the stairway. I love the idea of mixing up a bunch of different photos – both snapshots and professional portraits. This would be a great way to get ALL of your favorites in one spot. And it would make trekking up those stairs all day long a little more fun, right?
