David ~ Class of 2011 | Phoenix High School Senior Photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting David at a country club for his high school senior portraits. As an avid golfer, it was a perfect choice for him. We managed to sneak in some dressier shots for Mom and Dad, then it was out on the course for the rest of the session. We photographed David in April of last year, so I’m sure by now he’s off to college and doing great things.

For my Class of 2012 seniors, this is the PERFECT time to schedule and get your senior portraits done. The weather is absolutely beautiful this time of year and you’ll still have time to get your invitations designed and ordered in time for the big day.

I met Chalet at her family’s horse stable in Scottsdale. As I pulled into the gated entrance, I knew this session was going to be fun. The lighting was amazing and the location was something new and different for me. And then I met Chalet…um, gorgeous! Plus, she’s a really cool chick and she was up for anything. So we did our thing. I still think about this session and how I love the images months later. Chalet is stunning! Stay tuned for some in-studio portraits, too!

Next up on the blog I’ll be showing off a few more senior sessions. If you are a high school senior graduating in 2012, it’s a great time to get scheduled for your senior session. With the weather cooling off it’s the perfect time to get outside and take advantage of the beautiful locations we have around here to get your photographs.

Say hello to Marc, a 2011 Millennium graduate. This guy was quite the character in studio. We had a good time getting all his band instruments and uniforms set up. This is a storyboard that Mom ordered, to match the one we did of his sister we did a few years ago.

Remember this post? We waited for the weather to cool down and had a chance to get outside to get some shots done of Kelly doing her thing at the barn. She’s a little bit country, after all. I could photograph this kiddo all day long.

If you’re a high school senior and interested in getting senior portraits done, now is the time to call and get on the calendar. If the weather will just cool down a bit, we’ll have the next few months to get your portraits before you get busy with graduation.

It’s time to get back to showing off all the amazing faces I’ve been photographing lately. Talia came in for her high school senior portraits this Spring. We split her session into two different days so that she could do the more traditional studio portraits and then have some fun outdoors as well. This is a great way to to go about the senior portrait experience. She’s such a great kid and has the most amazing eyes!

As we were getting close to finishing up the session I noticed we were racing against good sunlight…and we still had a few poses left to squeeze in. Talia plays volleyball and she really wanted some shots of her setting the ball in the sunset. While she was changing into her gear I realized the sky was about to explode into this amazing sunset. We got lucky!

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Kelly several times throughout the last couple of years. She’s such a natural in front of the camera and such a beautiful girl. Plus, she’s a great student and an all around great kid. We have a fun time working together. We decided to split up her senior portrait sessions so we get a little in studio and then some outside when the weather cooperates. Here’s a sampling of the indoor session we did at the beginning of her senior year.

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful high school senior this spring. The weather was perfect for an outdoor session at a beautiful resort. She was such a trooper changing outfits in hidden corners and closets. We had a good time with that! Such a natural beauty!

I love this storyboard mom chose.

Brian – Class of 2009 | Goodyear, Arizona High School Senior Photography

Meet Brian – a recent high school graduate. I’ve photographed his older brother and sister, so this time around it was Brian’s turn. We held the session at his home and found all the nooks and crannies of great light around their property. We even rolled out the boat and got a few fun shots before the sun set on us. He’s a great kid and I have to say I love the hair!

another edition of showcasing your photographs

They did it again. I got another email from Pottery Barn showcasing lots of photos on family room walls. So of course I had to go over and see what they were up to. I have to say I am in love with so many of their ideas. I thought you might like to see them and get inspired, too.

This one is my favorite of the ideas they show. I like that nothing is permanent and the images can be changed around as your family grows.

Here’s another room that really appeals to me. Ledges are a big trend here for sure. I love the red leather slipper chairs…a lot!

Some more ideas with ledges…

I love the look of big prints without matting here. This has been in their catalog for a few years and I still like it.

I like the simplicity of this one. This is great for those of us who are “liner uppers”.

A fun idea for Dad’s office (or Mom’s!)…
