The last time I photographed these two cuties they were just brand new. Mom brought them in for a photoshoot to create some fun birthday party invitations (and trust me…they were CUTE!) for their first birthday party. Luckily they came in before the walking/running began – so we were able to get some really fun shots without too much of a workout.

I met this wonderful family through a referral from a previous client. Have I mentioned that I absolutely LOVE referrals? I do! It’s the best compliment when my clients tell their friends and family members about me and my work. So…thank you, Julie!

These beautiful twin boys were so easy to photograph! I think it had a lot to do with how calm and easy going mom and dad were during the session. They seemed like old pro’s at this newborn thing – it was so neat to see! As a result of this the boys slept through the entire session and just let us do our thing.

Did I mention I’ve had some fabulous families in the studio lately? Spring has definitely been family portrait season for the studio. Meet the B Family. Dad is in so much trouble when these girls start dating! The B girls have been coming to the studio for a few years now. It was nice to get Dad in for a few this time around.

Okay, it’s time to catch up on the blog here and get some of my recent sessions posted. It’s been a busy May here in the studio and I have so many sessions to show you.

Speaking of busy…let me introduce you to the fabulous H Family. The last time I saw them was when their (then) youngest was just a newborn. Now the twins have joined the crew. And what a good looking crew they are!

We actually photographed the littles a day earlier so that mom could focus on them and get lots of individuals as well as group shots of them.

Meet Diego and Harley. These two little guys came in to see me at three weeks and three days old. At first glance it was pretty amazing to see how different they look, especially their skin color. I love the black and whites we shot of these two, but I just had to show some color to see how different they look. As I worked with them I definitely saw more similarities, but it’s just so interesting to see how different twins can be. And oh, they were such good babies! I get to see them in a few months as they are the newest members of my Baby’s First Year Plan.

They did it again. I got another email from Pottery Barn showcasing lots of photos on family room walls. So of course I had to go over and see what they were up to. I have to say I am in love with so many of their ideas. I thought you might like to see them and get inspired, too.

This one is my favorite of the ideas they show. I like that nothing is permanent and the images can be changed around as your family grows.

Here’s another room that really appeals to me. Ledges are a big trend here for sure. I love the red leather slipper chairs…a lot!

I love the look of big prints without matting here. This has been in their catalog for a few years and I still like it.

I like the simplicity of this one. This is great for those of us who are “liner uppers”.

A fun idea for Dad’s office (or Mom’s!)…

brand new times two

Continuing on with the twinfest. These two sweet babies are 17 days old here. Brother Gavin took a little longer than sister Irelyn to come home. But they are both home and doing wonderfully. Mom and dad are cool as can be with these two. You’d never know they were sleep deprived!

This one is my absolute favorite! I loved how sleepy and easy going these two were the entire time. I don’t think I heard a peep out of them. Thank you two for being such great sports…and to mom and dad for bringing these two beautiful babies into the world.

It was twin week recently in the studio. It started with these cute and busy little 15 month olds. The second they walked in the door Noah smiled at me and immediately started flirting. Sister Hannah was much more reserved. It was her day to be quiet and attached to mommy. We had to work hard for these! 15 month old twins are a great workout, let me tell you. I think we all took naps after their session. Aren’t they adorable?!
